"You can be the moon and still be jealous of the stars"

Hello again! First of all, a quick but sincere thanks for sticking by me while I took a break from blogging (I'm now on my summer holiday - woohoo!) and thanks for the lovely feedback on my last blog post!
This blog post is about a fellow blogger and illustrator, Anna, who blogs at Annarack. I bought a print from her Etsy shop last week (because I simply couldn't resist the discounts!) and wanted to show you all. Anna was also kind enough to send me an extra print of different yin and yangs - what a treat! Out of all of Anna's illustrations, I particularly love her celestial prints and I could really connect to the quote written with it as I can often underestimate myself and think I'm not good enough. I really love the immense detail in Anna's illustrations, but also the simplicity of them - a black and white print in the middle of a white page, they really stand out on my wall and I'm always glancing up at them.

Go and check out Anna's Esty shop 'Annarack', full of prints, jewellery, and scrunchies, below are some of my favourites.

Let the wild rumpus start!

“But the wild things cried, “Oh please don't go- We'll eat you up- we love you so!”

Happy birthday to Maurice Sendak who would have celebrated his 85th birthday today. He was an illustrator and the author of "Where the wild things are" which happens to be one of my favourite films for those days when I wish I could be little and wild. The film has a perfect combination of nostalgia, childish fun, playful music and, of course, monsters. Besides, who wouldn't want to escape to a far off island and be crowned king of the Wild Things?
